The Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade Olubuse II, has sent a powerful delegation to England to see the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, whose entourage was recently attacked by hoodlums on the streets of Kano.
The delegation, which is already in London, expressed the sad and worried disposition of the Ooni to the very disheartening incident.
Oba Sijuwade expressed gratitude to God for saving the life of the revered traditional ruler, who has been his personal friend for about five decades.
The delegation also expressed the Ooni’s wish that the emir gets a well deserved rest, God’s continued protection and good health.
Oba Sijuwade has also commiserated with the emir on the demise of some of his personal staff.
