Excerpts
How and when did you discover your talent for music?
Music has always been a part of my life. While growing up as a kid, I was a drummer boy in church and then from there I picked up singing so I guess it all started in the church.
I started by freestyling about with some of my friends but I took up music professionally in 2010 because that was when I penned my first contract.
Challenges
Being signed to a record label for two years and nothing really happened, that was frustrating, having to start all over from scratch was frustrating, but I am okay now.
Singles
My first official single was “This party” and the second one was “Me and my friends” (produced by 2kriss)
Musical Influences
I am a big fan of Tuface, D banj, Bob Marley, Fela and the late Whitney Houston.
Plans for 2013
I will be putting out a couple of tracks this year and I’ll be dropping at least two videos, a couple of collabo’s and hopefully come to Nigeria for promo work. My album drops in 2014 by God’s grace.
Last word
To everyone that has supported the brand, Mero, so far, both home and abroad, I say God bless you all.
We can do anything if we put our heart in to it.
