In the book of Isaiah 1:17, the Bible says, "Learn to do well; seek judgement, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow." As a political leader it is high time to learn to do what is right. The action you put on today will speak more about you tomorrow. It does not matter the ethnic group that you belong, do not forget we belong to the same nation: Nigeria. When you are in position of authority try to help the poor masses by making their life meaningful. When you are contesting for a post under the platform of a political party, you are known as the party's standard bearer, and not a flag bearer as people mistakenly said. By the word standard, the people expect you to be reliable, responsible, selfless, accessible and accommodating. Let us provide the less privileged the required care, love, affection and suitable life style. I like to implore you to think about doing more for the needy around you; be a blessing to others and this attracts blessing from God. If each of us can give little to the needy, we can all do a lot. Many people are deprived of material, spiritual and emotional resources needed to survive; and making them unable to enjoy their rights; achieve their full potential or participate as relevant members of society. In Proverbs 11:24-25, the Bible says, "There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth, and there is that witholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat; and he that watereth shall be watered also himself." I want to use this medium to advice all the party's standard bearer who are aspiring for public office, and those holding public office to sow into the life of others; and you shall have a great harvest in return.
