Speaking during an interview with our correspondent in Osogbo on Tuesday, the Senator said it was wrong of the President to have said that his name, Goodluck, had brought good luck to Nigeria.
Omoworare, a member of the Action Congress of Nigeria said, “It is wrong to link governance with good luck in Nigeria, a country bedeviled with a myriad of avoidable and self-imposed problems.
“President Jonathan won’t have five per cent of Nigerians’ votes. Good governance is not about good luck: it is about hard work and depth. After his first term in office, he should go back to his village, where he has built a church and a university.”
He added that the President lacked “the character to lead the country to the Promised Land.”
But Omoworare described the Federal Government as clueless over the challenges facing the country, stressing that the Jonathan Presidency had been a grave disappointment to Nigerians.
