Since the inception of Rauf Aregbesola’s administration, Osun state has seen the influx of Lagosians (non-indigenes and indigenes of Osun state) into the state to take up appointments and in the execution of projects.
The administration started rolling out different projects such as O-renewal, O-Yes, O-reap, O-this, O-that from the beginning, most of which are failing or already failed. See this.
However, it is also disheartening that most of these projects have little or no contribution from those who live in the state. I also noticed that a large percentage of those that support Ogbeni on social networks are Lagosians whenever I check their profile. One of them Gbenga Olorunponmi called himself Aregbesola’s groupie in response to an article Opon Imo or Opon Scam by @ojasays, despite that Gbenga lives and works in Lagos. Now what concerns Lagos with Osun state? Is it because TV Continental transmitted Opon-Imo launching? Or because a board showcasing Opon Imo was erected in far Lagos? This of course is a waste of our money.

I raised dust by putting OMISORE 2014 (The main threat to Aregbesola’s Second term bid) as a personal message on my BBM, a friend of mine SegunEGUN ( a Lagosian) said:
“Rauf ni o, I’m working with a Lagos based construction company in Ifetedo, na Lagos dey chop una money and we never start sef, up APC!!!, all the contracts wey dey your state, na we go do am, we will chop the money well well *smiles* …I am just in Osun to make money and leave… …we are still working on getting another contract from the Osun state government… so we may be here for a long time…marry your women… …maybe one day one of us from outside will become the governor of your state *Big smiles* most of the companies working in Osun are from Lagos, workforce and materials also from Lag”
It should be noted that most of the constructions are done by Lagosians and they smile back to Lagos at the end of the week/month while graduates under O-yes (Masters holders inclusive) are cutting grass on the roads for 1-2 years. Thank God they are now smarter, they now use herbicides bought from their N10, 000 allowances. If I may ask, can the Sons and Daughters of Ogbeni and those in his administration be cutting grass on the streets before they get employed? Is it Lagosians that will vote for Ogbeni in 2014?
The eggs also distributed in the O-meal are also from Lagos, can’t our local government caretaker committees which are directly under the control of Ogbeni establish poultry farms again? Most of our Local Governments have poultry farms with no birds again.
Is Osun state under Lagos that our resources are being injected into their own economy while I see hunger and anger in the people of Osun state except the few that are smiling because they are opportune to be in ACN? Is it those that their houses were demolished without due compensation that will be happy?
I will advise that the Lagos firms should be made to source some of their materials locally and employ those that live in Osun state so the equation can be balanced. To Ogbeni’s Lagos social networks supporters, job well done but we in Osun will decide in 2014.
Ogbeni Rauf should ask Chief Bisi Akande why he lost his 2nd term bid despite his performance then, before O-renewal, O-meal, O-this, O-that turns out to O-bye bye to him.
