Osun 2014: I’ll rescue Osun people from claws of bad governance - Omisore

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial aspirant in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, on Tuesday, in Osogbo, said he was ready to salvage the helpless people of the state from the claws of bad governance occasioned by Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s administration if elected as governor of the state in 2014.

He implored the people not to lose hope, considering what he termed the downturn in the fortune of the state, assuring that help was already on the way, which would culminate in the total deliverance of Osun indigenes.
Speaking at a rally held inside the PDP state secretariat, in Osogbo, Omisore also accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun, Mr Rufus Akeju, of not morally qualified to conduct the 2014 governorship election, considering his closeness and affinity with the national  leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He alleged that the INEC boss had perfected plans to favour the APC-led government in the forthcoming election through complicated voters’ register review exercise scheduled to commence across the state in December 5, 2013.
Addressing party faithful at the rally, the representative of President Goodluck Jonathan at the event, Jide Adeniji, said the president believed in Osun PDP and will always support any course that can strengthen the party.
The FERMA boss also tasked the party members to commence early preparation for 2014 governorship election, just as he emphasised the need for total dedication and respect for party’s leadership by members.
