The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, has crowned Oba Olaniyi Adediwura as new Obalufe of Ife, urging him to work hard in driving the development of the ancient town.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Ooni said the appointment of Obalufe,
who is Second-in-Command to the Ooni in Ife traditional institution hierarchy, was in line with customs and tradition.
The Ooni asked Oba Adediwura to work together with other kingmakers to enable him fulfill the agenda to take Ile-Ife and Yoruba nation to greater heights.
The royal father also appealed to all other kingmakers to join hands to enhance effective administration of the town.
In his remarks, Oba Adediwura, who was accompanied to the ceremony by his wife, Olori Olusola, expressed gratitude to God, Ooni and indigenes for the opportunity given him to serve his people.
